Love milk but find it doesn't love you?
With some people and ordinary milk, the chemistry is just not right. Why? Because of lactose - a naturally occurring sugar found in all dairy milk. For the body to digest lactose, it needs to be broken down into simpler sugars, glucose and galactose, by an enzyme called lactase. However, some people lack this enzyme in their body, so they find it difficult to digest milk properly. This can cause uncomfortable tummy troubles.
Take heart. You just haven't found the right milk yet! Pauls Zymil is the easy to digest milk that is gentler on your stomach and won't leave you with an uncomfortable feeling. Zymil is simply regular milk, with the lactose already broken down, making it lactose-free and easy to digest. So don't miss out Now even the most sensitive tummies can love real milk again! See? You can find lasting happiness with the right milk.

FAQ
Like to find out more about lactose-free Zymil? Here's the place to do it.
How do you pronounce Zymil?
Zymil is pronounced "Zimmel"
How is Pauls Zymil different from regular milk?
Zymil is just regular milk, with the lactose already broken down into simple sugars. This makes it easier to digest, so you can love your milk again!
Does Zymil taste different to ordinary milk?
Because the lactose in Zymil has already been broken down into simpler sugars, some people notice that it has a slightly sweeter taste than regular milk. In fact, Zymil has the same amount of natural sugar as other regular milks such as Pauls Full Cream milk. But the sweeter taste is great news if you have a sweet tooth - some people find that because Zymil tastes naturally sweeter, they can skip adding their sugar to their cuppa!
What is lactose?
Lactose is the sugar found naturally in milk and milk products, including human milk. When digested by the body, lactose is broken down into simple sugars by an enzyme called lactase. These simple sugars are then easily absorbed by the body and used as a source of energy.
Hidden lactose can be found in many packaged products that contain milk powders or powder derived from milk components or whey, such as dehydrated potatoes, soups, meal-replacement supplements and coffee creamers.
What is lactase?
Lactase is an enzyme normally produced by the cells that line the small intestine. It breaks the lactose in milk down into simple sugars that the body can absorb and use as a source of energy. People that find milk difficult to digest may lack this enzyme which is why Zymil may be helpful - it's just milk to which we have added the natural enzyme lactase, so the milk is easy to digest.
How do I recognise the symptoms of lactose sensitivity?
The inability to digest lactose is caused by a shortage of the enzyme lactase. When there is not enough lactase to digest the amount of lactose consumed, the results, although not usually dangerous, can be distressing. These can vary from mild discomfort, to more severe symptoms within the digestive system.
Is Zymil right for me?
If you find milk doesn't always agree with you, you may be sensitive to lactose or lack the enzyme lactase that's needed to digest milk properly. Zymil could be your answer. Rich in calcium, Zymil is lactose-free milk, which is easier to digest, gentler on the stomach, and less likely to leave you feeling uncomfortable.
Is Zymil suitable for children?
Yes! Because Zymil is available in both full cream and low fat varieties, it is suitable for both children and adults. For children over 2 years, low fat milk is widely accepted, however full cream milk is recommended for children under the age of 2 years, who are completely weaned.
